Well, Happy New Year to you all ! I hope that you had a great Christmas and New Year break. We were very grateful for some time off after a manic final few weeks before the festivities started!
One of the things we were busy with was for the queen of my biggest vice Sarah Jane Chocolates. On a chilly but sunny Monday afternoon in mid-December, I visited Sarah and her lovely family for a pre-Christmas family photoshoot … oh, and some chocolates too!
As the sun was out, we took the opportunity and headed out into the garden, armed with camera, reflector and warm jackets. They were all very good about dropping the jackets for a few minutes at a time, whilst we captured some great family moments. Of course, coffee and chocolate was a must after all that, and I would be lying if I didn’t own up to the fact that I ate rather more than I should – but, oh goodness, how utterly divine! I would highly recommend sampling some for yourself, or even attending one of her Chocolate Making Workshops. I guarantee, you won’t be disappointed!
So, enough of that, let’s look at some of my favourite images from the shoot :

So, after somewhat of a mad final dash to Christmas, and a terribly long spell of blogful neglect, I wanted to post some images from a gorgeous shoot I did a few weeks ago. Little Annabella appeared in the last edition of Baby Surrey Magazine, along with dad and mum, Jessica, who is the brains behind the Mumzy-Not Yummy Mummy Blog.
Read her review on our shoot, here, but after you have seen my favourite set of images from the session:

I recently had the opportunity to do some family photography for my friend Sarah, and her very ‘enthusiastic’ family! A very easy and natural shoot because they were all in stitches even before we started photographing – it was a real pleasure to work with them all.
A special little hello goes out to the youngest of our models who both treated me to a Monkey Tree Hug to say goodbye. Total bless.
Here are a couple of my faves from the shoot:

Straight on to the images in Part 2 of Katie & Julian’s wedding, starting with my favourite shot from the day
All the fair ladies and a fun-loving family shot that perfectly captures the spirit of the day…
I was drawn to the glorious aroma of this cake – it was all I could do not not swipe one !
Some choice moments from the celebrations …
The first dance was a real treat for us all …
And so to the PhotoBooth …
Need I say more – always a huge hit and I love the variety of images and poses we get!
And so, to finish, the front of the venue with the candles lit around the coach circle …
Another beautiful wedding at one of my favourite venues – thank you both for having us there with you on the day!

Katie and Julian were recently married and celebrated their wedding at the gorgeous Goodwood House in Chichester. It’s always a pleasure to photograph a wedding at Goodwood, as the venue is incredible and the staff are some of the most courteous and professional around. David, the butler and coordinator for the day, ran things a smoothly as can be, making everything go like a dream.
We had much better weather this time around, after the torrential rain that disrupted the pre-wedding shoot, and Katie looked just stunning in her beautiful dress.
Katie and Jules both got ready at the nearby Goodwood Hotel, taking care to avoid each other before the ceremony. A little ‘hello’ to Katie’s mum, who showed her steaming prowess, as she expertly unwrinkled all the exquisite bridesmaid dresses.
The actual wedding took place at St Mary’s Church in Lavant, which is a lovely little venue, and then all back to Goodwood for the reception – so without further ado, here is Part 1 of my favourite images from the day:
The colour of the flowers complimented the now perfectly steamed dresses …
An important job, well executed by Max, and a few nervous bridesmaids …
I love cheeky Max in this next shot ..
Part 2 comes tomorrow, with some cracking shots from the PhotoBooth …
Ah these are beautiful. Have missed your blog posts…. like looking at your work and seeing what good things you are up to.
Lovely work as always!
Have a great Christmas Matt and hope 2012 brings all you wish for
