Wow! For the third year running we have come away from the MPA Awards for the South Eastern Region with another handful of awards, bringing our total over the last three years to 23 !!!
You may recall our success last year and the previous year, where we picked up a whole host of awards in various categories ? This time around, we decided to try out the sports category as well as ‘landscape and travel’.
So, without further ado, here are the winning images :
WINNER – MPA South East Regional Awards 2012, Sports, Social and Equestrian Events
This image was taken during a promotional shoot for my friend, and a groom from last year, Les, who runs a GB Tang Soo Do school.
WINNER – MPA South East Regional Awards 2012, Landscape and Travel
A shot which I saw, and grabbed, during a wedding last year in Italy – this old gentleman was sat alone on a bench across the other side of the piazza from where we were eating dinner.
Award of Excellence – MPA South East Regional Awards 2012, Classical Portraiture
Aaah man! Pipped to the post – this image came in second place, losing out by just one single point! This shot of Bobby Chocolate was taken as part of a set for the outstandingly amazing Unsung Lily, a new, up and coming band hailing from Guildford, UK.
Award of Merit – MPA South East Regional Awards 2012, Contemporary Portraiture
This shot of Riccardo and Lorenzo, taken during a recent promo shoot for Coconut Hair Salon, is one of my very favourites and makes me laugh every time I look at it. Apparently, it made the judges laugh too which is why it was awarded a very healthy third place!
Award of Merit – MPA South East Regional Awards 2012, Press and PR
The category in which we gained first place last year. This is another shot from the Unsung Lilly promo shoot, this time of the entire band. To me, this just captures them perfectly ! Another third place.
Honourable Mention – MPA South East Regional Awards 2012, Sports, Social and Equestrian Events
No award for this one, but it was pulled up for mention because of the sheer timing and control. Again, from the Tang Soo Do shoot with Les. I’m happy to lose out on first place to my own shot though
Once again, I have to say a huge Thank You to all the clients, subjects and, now, friends who choose to book us for all their shoots and trust that we will do the best job we can do. None of this would be possible or even worthwhile without any of you …
