Some of my favourite images from the day in Part 2 of Phillipa and Jason’s wedding. I absolutely love this first shot of Phillipa, looking serene and calm, and her dad, looking proud, at the entrance to the church.

Phillipa and Jason celebrated their love by way of a wonderful wedding just a few weeks ago in Pyrford. Despite a bit of dodgy weather, we were treated to a dry day, which was good news for them as there was a smashing horse and carriage after the ceremony, waiting to transport them to the Talbot Inn, for dinner.

Meet Farzana & Nadil, a young, hip and trendy couple whose wedding next weekend is going to be the biggest I have ever photographed, with some 600 friends and family !

We met up very early last Sunday morning, at Little Venice, in London – I never knew that there were two 6.30s on a Sunday ! Despite the unfriendly start time of 8am, these guys were in great spirits and we quickly got to the business of a photoshoot. Farzana had chosen Little Venice because of the waterways and colours around, and our postponement away from the torrential downpour the Friday before was a great idea. Sunday morning brought us some lovely sunshine, as well as clouds so we got on an produced some great shots.

This first shot was literally the first shot of the day, so I knew we were in for a good one – they seemed to ease into their modelling roles very naturally …

A little bit of off-camera flash under a bridge gave us a good zingy feel to the shots …

And there’s nothing wrong with a little tomfoolery …

Another bit of off-camera flash before, yet again, an over-eager security guard came to move us along for photographing the sky … eh ?? The sky ?? “Yeah, you cannot take photos here” … Hmm, I think some people have waay too much time on their hands on a Sunday morning, if their greatest threat is a photographer photographing the sky ..

So, continuing along the Baby Photography theme, this little lady is Isabella, and she was my first shoot for the next edition of Baby Surrey Magazine. A lovely shoot with a happy little lady on a beautifully sunny morning – what more could you ask for ?!

There are many people who you meet in your life who simply pass in and out of your everyday existence and you may pay them no special heed, both of you going about your lives. Every now and then, however, you have the opportunity to meet someone who has a profound and positive effect on everything you do. Someone who challenges your normal, mundane existence and someone who touches you deeply on many levels. If you are very lucky, you may also be fortunate enough to be able to call this person a friend.

Elizabeth, my friend, is just that person. And it is just that which makes this a rather special post for me. As many of our mutual friends and colleagues will know, Elizabeth, and her husband Mikey, have just had a baby – a gorgeous little baby called CJ, and I was so very pleased to have the opportunity to photograph them all last week, at their country retreat.

There’s little more to say, apart from the fact that they all look beautiful together – see for yourself…
