With a massive number of shoots over the last few weeks I have so many things to post, and I hardly know where to start. So, I am going to go straight for a shoot I did yesterday for the amazing Elizabeth Cairns.
We had the most amazing headshot session, mainly in Gunnersbury Park. I used to go to school just around the corner from here, so it was a trip down memory lane for me. It was a very sunny day, and I usually like to be able to have far more control over my headshot lighting. However, I was up for the challenge. Elizabeth’s brief was for some natural shots in a place where she feels she’d be at her best – namely out in the open. Elizabeth runs a very successful life coaching company called Amovita and so the images needed to portray happiness and positivity.
She was so easy to photograph and made my job positively simple. I think we managed the brief, so here are my faves from the session:

I am loving the mix of colours and vibrancy in these images. I haven’t had so much laughter in a shoot for ages! Hope you like them, Miss Cairns, and looking forward to seeing you soon!
I met this smashing couple a few months back, when I helped out a fellow photographer with a double-booking. I have not been allowed to post their images, until now, because they were using a couple for their wedding invites, and we needed to keep the whole shoot a secret ! However, the invites have been printed and sent now, so we’re all clear!
After a hearty lunch one Sunday morning in Henley-on-Thames, we headed out along side the river for some fun stuff. As I explain to all my wedding couples, the pre-wedding shoot is key to the success of our wedding day images. It’s not so much the imagery we produce but the process we go through as photographer and couple. Of course, getting great images is always good too !!
Both Wendy and Adam were a little nervous before the shoot, but after a great chat over breakfast, they quickly fell into a relaxed mood and the shots just flowed nicely.
Here are my faves from the day :

We played with some off-camera flash here for something a little different – this was one of the shots they used on their wedding invites, and I have to say .. they looks just smashing!!

Looking forward to catching up with you soon guys!
Ah thanks for lovely comments ladies, needless to say i’m delighted with the shots thanks Matt! It was such fun. You all know how much I hate being in front of the camera but Matt made it a breeze. He is not only a stunning photographer, handling the challenges of lighting like a pro, but has a unique skill at the essential rapport building necessary to bring out the essence of his subject. We had such a laugh my face ached! See you all at the Horseley Business Network tonight. Keep up the great work Matt!
Thank you for the lovely comments ladies … Claire, I think you’re next !!
