Hello Mr Robin! | Wisley Gardens

I took a morning out today, with a friend of mine, and visited Surrey’s Wisley Gardens for the first time. In the past I have often wished I had taken my camera out with me on occasion, so made a concerted effort to do so this time around.
There was not much out and blooming, in terms of flowers, but we did happen across a couple of very friendly robins! So friendly, in fact, that the first one kept hopping so close (just 6 inches away) that he was too close, and inside the minimum focusing distance of my lens! I’ll be taking some mealworms next time round …

Here are a couple of shots that I was lucky enough to get.

  1. Gorgeous! I especially love the second one, and all that “copy space” you’ve left – it’s just crying out to be used in a design!

  2. Oh, I know – but we photographers call it “negative space” … not always designed for words!!
But, find somewhere to use it and you can gladly do so ….
