I took a morning out today, with a friend of mine, and visited Surrey’s Wisley Gardens for the first time. In the past I have often wished I had taken my camera out with me on occasion, so made a concerted effort to do so this time around.
There was not much out and blooming, in terms of flowers, but we did happen across a couple of very friendly robins! So friendly, in fact, that the first one kept hopping so close (just 6 inches away) that he was too close, and inside the minimum focusing distance of my lens! I’ll be taking some mealworms next time round …
Here are a couple of shots that I was lucky enough to get.

This morning I spent a smashing few hours with the lovely Kerrie, who was in need of some headshots for the new website which will be promoting her counseling service.
Like many girls I meet, Kerrie was very nervous about having her photograph taken – certain photo frames around the house depict her quite literally hiding her face behind someone else in the shot! There’s nowhere to hide when you are the only person in front of the camera though, so after feeding her some of my home-made banana bread we got to work …
No idea why on earth she hides though, looking as lovely as this:

… and it’s always good to have a few laughs as well …

With the imminent launch of Baby London Magazine I wanted to post some shots from the recent session with my lovely friends Catherine & Manuela. Both photographers themselves (no pressure then!) they have been in a Civil Partnership since January 2007 and little Dylan was born on the 1st November.
It was a little nerve wracking having to photograph not one, but two photographers, but having been plied with good coffee and pastries I took a deep breath and did what I do.
Here are my favourite shots of one beautiful family:

Ci vediamo presto, mie belle !

My final shoot for Baby Surrey Magazine last year was of Linda and family, from over Cheam way. Despite the hideously rainy conditions between Christmas and New Year, there were no damp spirits in that household. Just check out this little fellow and his gorgeous gummy giggle!

See what I mean ? Adorably gummy!

Oh, and what a lovely new wrist-watch you have!!

Nothing like a good tickle!

Last year I was contacted by Sharon to photograph her lovely little bundle of joy, Jasmine. We waited until right before Christmas, so Jasmine was a little bigger and able to support herself (just about!), and also full of great facial expressions! So, just before the snow hit, we spend a smashing morning in Guildford with this very smiley little lady.
Here are the favourites from our session:

Oh, wait – did I say “smiley” ?? Well, mostly smiley!

… and i did say “just about” able to support herself – nothing like some help from a friend!
Thankfully, despite the heavy snow, we did just manage to get all the frames in time for a very, very Happy Christmas!
